BREAKING: Shooting At Gaming Competition in Jacksonville


At approximately 12:55 PM ET, a gunman opened fire at the Madden 19 tournament, being held at the GLHF Game Bar in Jacksonville, Florida.

As of this time, it is being reported by CNN and Fox News that as many as 11 people were wounded in the incident, four of them fatally. These numbers have not yet been confirmed by authorities at the scene.

Authorities have confirmed that one suspect is dead. It is unknown if the suspect died of self-inflicted wounds or as a result of police actions. No identities have been released thus far.

The location is still on lockdown as first responders continue to assess the situation and clear all buildings in the vicinity. It is unknown if there are any other suspects involved.  There will be an official news conference later today to provide more details on this ongoing situation.

According to the LA Times, the gunman was a competitor at the event when he lost, opened fire on the crowd of other competitors, and then killed himself. We will continue to update this story once we have more information.
