Luis Bracamontes: Everything that is wrong with our immigration system.
Three years ago, Luis Bracamontes, an illegal alien who crossed the Mexican-American border three times, murdered two law enforcement officers in Sacramento. He was on Methamphetamine during his attack. In his trial on Tuesday evening, Bracamontes stated that “I wish I could have killed more of those motherf—–s. I will break out soon, and I will kill more”. During the entire trial, he was in hysterics because of his actions showing no remorse whatsoever, calling the killed officers “cowards” and “stupid”.
Now, simply put, this is why Donald Trump was elected. He was elected to put an end to cases like these. He was elected because he wanted to strengthen our border and add more ICE agents/judges to make sure another Luis Bracamontes appeared ever again.
In 2015, the Obama Administration used a method called the “catch-and-release” method. This technique coerced the ICE to, not deport, but to release convicted illegal immigrants. The exact number of let go aliens was 19,723. 208 of these were convicted of murder, 900 were convicted of sex crimes, over 12,000 were convicted of drunk driving, and 8,234 were convicted of violent crimes. On average, each released alien had 3.25 convictions.
Luis Bracamontes was part of this “catch-and-release’ method.
However, this was not the case for Jose Ines Garcia Zarate, the convicted felon and murderer of 32 year old Kate Steinle in San Francisco. Zarate had previously been deported FIVE times to Mexico, but managed to cross our weak border for the sixth. In his first trial, Zarate was found not guilty of homicide against Kate, sparking a national debate about sanctuary cities. Sanctuary cities deny local law enforcement activity and instead is left to federal agents.
Sanctuary city policies are straightforwardly an open threat to public safety. Kate Steinle would have been avenged if Zarate had been handed over to ICE, which they requested, but were denied. In lieu of this, he would be deported for a SIXTH time, serving no justice as a convicted murderer. He will be spending time in prison, not for killing Steinle, but for being in possession of a gun. After this he will be handed over to federal officials.
Ronald Da Silva was murdered by a previously deported illegal immigrant in 2002. 16 year old Tessa Tranchant was killed by illegal immigrant Alfredo Ramos in Virginia Beach when he was intoxicated and driving, and slammed into Tranchant’s car. Due to sanctuary city policy, he was protected from being detained. Sarah Root, a college graduate at the top of her class, was killed after Eswin Mejia was street racing and rammed into her. Nebraska’s sanctuary city policy allowed Mejia to be released from jail and is still on the run. She was supposed to graduate the day after.
Igor Zubko, an illegal alien from Russia, had killed Shayley Estes. He was in the U.S on an overstayed visa. Roberto Galo had obtained TPS from Honduras but ran over law graduate Drew Rosenberg three times. USCIS refused to deport him and was released after serving only 43 days, but thanks to the Rosenberg family’s activism, Galo was finally deported on April 4, 2013.
No, this article is not me saying every illegal alien is detrimental to the society. In fact, many contribute to our economy, pay taxes, and claim occupations, such as lawn-mowing, housekeeping, construction workers, and farming. I have met great, intelligent, and funny people who come from countries like the Dominican Republic and Mexico. My blood proudly runs Mexican.
But there is a method of emigrating to the United States legally. My parents both went through a process that took over three years, but in the end, was worth it. They are now successful entrepreneurs who contribute to the economy, pay taxes, and now are part of the hard-working middle class.
The United States is the third most populated country in the world. We cannot continue allowing this to happen in such a country where our Founding Fathers agreed to have a lawful way of entering.
